Custom Commissions General Info

General Process

1. Submission received and reviewed.
2. If chosen, a quote is given.
3. If accepted, a 50% down payment is due within 30 days and all measurements must be received withing 60 days.
4. Back and forth, working out the details of the design begins.
5. Mock-up created by us listing all details of commission sent to buyer to OK.
6. Pattern drafted and supplies ordered for your catsuit/item.
7. You are put into the queue.
8. When your turn comes up remaining balance and shipping are due.
9. Crafting on your commission begins.
10. Suit is shipped to you
11. Enjoy being the envy of all your friends.

 

Pricing and Payment

All payment and quotes are in USD unless otherwise stated.

All quotes are good for 30 days from the date issued. If the nonrefundable down payment of 50% has not been received by then the price for the item may change and you may lose your spot in the queue.

The remaining 50% + shipping costs will be due when we are ready to start crafting your item.

Residents of Canada will be charged GST/HST/PST based on the province they reside in. This will be based on the shipping address provided. As for international customers, you may expect to pay VAT or customs taxes upon delivery.

Submitting for a spot in the custom queue

You may submit any idea as long as it is fully thought out. If you are submitting for a fursuit/catsuit we only do catsuits with colour blocking and inflatable tails or fins. We do not do feet, hands, digitigrade legs or heads.

When submitting for a spot in our custom queue the following things are REQUIRED.

1. One or more detailed images of your character/subject matter. Reference sheets showing a 360 view of your character/subject matter are preferred (front, back, sides, etc.) Proper reference sheets must include enough views to properly display all markings.
2. A quick elevator pitch - this is for our internal reference.  This is a broad-strokes description.  I've got a team of cool crafters helping me out, so it's great to have a brief description when looking at projects.  Think "I want an leopard fursona with inflatable tail" as opposed to "I want the spots located in these specific areas" (those details should go in the next part)
3. A written description of key features.  This is where you can get detailed in describing things such as colours, zipper placement and type, accessories, appliques or etching marks, etc.  The more fleshed out your idea is here, the more likely we'll accept your quote. 

If you are submitting for custom bondage gear please include any photos you are basing your idea off of. Including a reference sheet or drawing of the item as well is always a good idea.

A 50% non-refundable deposit is due within 30 days and your measurements are due within 60 days of receiving a quote. Failure to provide these will result in you losing your spot in the queue and the quote is subject to change.

 

Measurement/Sizing

Do not measure yourself - the measurements will not be accurate. Have someone help you with them. If you are getting a catsuit, follow the instructions in the video tutorial provided for how, exactly, to take these measurements. The fit of your catsuit is entirely dependent on the accuracy of these measurements. We can not be held responsible for ill-fitting items due to incorrect measurements.

 

Deadlines and Turnaround times

Kink engineering is unable to provide absolute deadlines, just completion estimates. Depending on suppliers’ stock in latex colours and/or other crafting elements the turnaround time may occasionally be pushed back. These are circumstances beyond our control, and we apologise in advance if your item is affected.

 

Refunds/Cancellations

There are no refunds. If the commission is cancelled by the customer in the middle of the project, then any payments already made is forfeit and nonrefundable. Refunds are only available if Kink Engineering is unable to complete the project or cancels the project. The refund for any work that is incomplete will vary on how much progress and time was invested into it.

 

Shipping

The cost of shipping is not included in the initial quote and will be charged additionally on the second 50% instalment due when we are ready to begin crafting. Kink Engineering has the right to select methods and carriers such as UPS, DHL or Canada Post. Once an item has been picked up by the carrier for shipping, any damages or delays are considered the responsibility of the courier. We are not responsible for any lost, damaged, or stolen products.

For shipping outside North America, the country you live in reserves the right to charge a customs fee on any imported items. We are not responsible for this amount. Check with your local post office for specifics. Kink Engineering insures all packaging for the full value of the item when shipping. This is not negotiable.

 

Warranty

If the suit arrives with any fitting issues or is defective in any way, please contact us immediately to arrange for an adjustment. You may contact us at any time if you need a repair/alteration. We will assess the damage on a case-by-case basis and charge accordingly to fix/alter the suit. Buyer is responsible for paying for shipping both ways.
